
Nicholas Hatcher, DNP
Director of Integrative Psychiatry
Nicholas Hatcher is a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a dually board-certified acute care and psychiatric nurse practitioner. He completed advanced training at Vanderbilt University (AGACNP-BC, DNP) and Johns Hopkins University (PMHNP-BC), and is fellowship-trained as a Certified Integrative Psychiatric Provider.
At Elsewhere, Dr. Hatcher oversees the development and operations of integrative medicine programming. He applies a systems-focused lens to the care process as a whole, and provides clinical consultation and training to all medical providers. He is passionate about sharing insights from conventional and functional medicine to staff and finding a synthesis across modalities.
With over a decade of diverse clinical experience spanning critical care, hospital medicine, inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, and private integrative practice, he brings a holistic perspective to patient care. He is also a trained traumatologist with expertise in Compassionate Inquiry (CI), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).
Alongside his clinical work, Dr. Hatcher has spent 10 years as a professor of nursing, holding multiple faculty appointments and developing a comprehensive educational program to train clinicians in integrative psychiatry. He has delivered over 100 presentations on topics ranging from trauma-informed care to innovative treatment models. His ongoing work focuses on advancing holistic, trauma-responsive approaches through practice, scholarship, and consultation.
