Personal
Coaching

An Elsewhere coach is a personal advisor and thinking partner for the work of orienting your life around what matters.

Discover

Coaching at Elsewhere is a partnership built around the actual texture of your life — leadership, health, creative work, career direction, relationships, purpose. Your coach is a sounding board and a strategic counterpart: someone who can offer reflection, honest feedback, practical problem-solving, and steady accountability across whatever you’re navigating.

This isn’t about fixing what isn’t broken. It’s about getting sharper at the things you actually care about — and having a thinking partner who can keep up.

The Right Fit

This service may be a fit, if you’re looking for:

A thinking partner, not a therapist
or high-functioning people who don’t need a clinical reason to show up, but want sharper counsel on what they’re navigating
honest feedback and practical problem-solving from someone willing to push back
for people building something, leading something, or making decisions that have real stakes
drawing on the right expertise from our broader team when your work calls for it
What to Expect
We begin with a goal assessment and match you with a primary coach based on fit and focus area. From there, the work is fully personalized — your coach curates the approach and, when useful, brings in time-limited consultation from other coaches on the team based on what the work calls for. Format and cadence are shaped around your life, not a default schedule.

What It’s Not

This isn’t a standardized protocol, a prepackaged process, or whatever’s trending. You won’t get basic underloaded band exercises, a passive quick fix, or have to commit to coming in for a lifetime. It’s not insurance-driven care that depends on a physician’s script and a 15-minute clock. And it’s not narrowly focused on a single symptom while ignoring the rest of you.

Investment

Coaching is offered as a private-pay service. Session frequency and structure are flexible — built around your goals and pace, not a one-size-fits-all package.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the actual difference between coaching and therapy?

The simplest version: therapy treats clinical conditions. Coaching doesn’t. If you’re working through depression, anxiety disorder, trauma, or another diagnosable condition, you need a therapist — and we have those at Elsewhere too. Coaching is for people who are functioning well and want a strategic partner for the work of building a life: decisions, transitions, performance, purpose. The line matters legally and clinically, and we hold it carefully. If something comes up in coaching that’s better served by therapy, your coach will say so.

Most executive coaching is narrowly focused on workplace performance. Most life coaching has real depth in some cases and a lot of motivational fluff in others. Ours sits between — built around the recognition that the parts of your life don’t separate cleanly. Your career affects your relationships affects your health affects your sense of purpose. A coach who can think across those domains, and who can pull in other expertise when needed, is doing different work than someone narrowly trained in one of them.

Your coach is matched to you based on focus area and fit. Backgrounds across our team include executive performance, health and behavior change, creative work, athletics, transitions, and purpose work. We’ll tell you about who you’d be paired with before you commit, and the first session is structured so you can decide if it’s the right fit before going further.

You have one primary coach — that’s where the relationship lives. But if you’re working on something where another coach on our team has deeper expertise (say, you’re navigating a creative pivot and your primary coach has more strength in leadership work), your coach can bring that person in for a focused session or two. You’re not constantly rotating between coaches; the curation happens around the work, not around the schedule.

It varies more than therapy does. Some people do intensive work around a specific transition and wrap up in a few months. Others stay in ongoing relationships for years, working in cycles around different domains as life shifts. The cadence is something you and your coach figure out together based on what the work actually calls for — not a default package we sell upfront.
