Physical Therapy & Performance Training

From complex pain to your highest level of performance. One practice, one approach: find the pattern, then build from there.

Discover

Most physical therapy runs on a tight clock and a standardized protocol — driven by what insurance will reimburse, instead of what your body actually needs.
We work differently. Our physical therapists can take their time to fully examine how your whole body moves — the patterns, compensations, and context that shape both pain and performance — and build a plan around how you specifically function.

And we don’t stop at “pain-free.” For those who want to go further, we offer assessment and performance training designed around your most ambitious goals: strength, resilience, and the capacity to move at your highest level.

The Right Fit

This service may be a fit, if you’re looking for:

A different approach to recovery
for people who’ve been let down by the conventional model and want more than simple symptom management
not a generic protocol designed for the average patient
for people who want to move better than they did before the injury, not just return to it
for people who can tell the difference between real expertise and technical jargon. You’ll get honest explanations, transparent knowledge, and solutions that actually work.
What to Expect
Your first visit is built to give us a full picture of how you move: history, symptoms, lifestyle, goals and the why behind it. From there, we develop an individualized plan — that stays focused on your goals, yet can be modified and refined as your body responds.

What It’s Not

This isn’t a standardized protocol, a prepackaged process, or whatever’s trending. You won’t get basic underloaded band exercises, a passive quick fix, or have to commit to coming in for a lifetime. It’s not insurance-driven care that depends on a physician’s script and a 15-minute clock. And it’s not narrowly focused on a single symptom while ignoring the rest of you.

Investment

We accept HSA/FSA, credit cards and cash. We are not in network with any insurance companies for these services, however we can generate super bills and you may be eligible for reimbursement for some of the associated costs.

This allows our clinicians to look at and treat the interconnected relationships across the body, and to move beyond rehab towards comprehensive performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much will this cost me?

A comprehensive diagnostic is $300. Sessions are $280. Most clients use 6–12 sessions depending on where they start and what they’re working toward. Number of sessions prescribed by your therapist — based on what your situation actually requires.

For those who want to keep building once the work is resolved, Maintenance and Performance Training sessions are $250.

No. We are out-of-network and cash-pay — a structural choice. The insurance model rewards throughput: short slots, discharge thresholds set by what the plan reimburses rather than what the body requires. Operating outside it is how we do the work the way it should be done.

You pay at the time of service. We provide a superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement, and HSA/FSA funds are accepted. Our Insurance Reimbursement Guide walks you through what your plan will and won’t cover.

We do not bill insurance and we do not work with Medicare or Medicaid.

“Normal” depends on what it means for you — the executive who can’t sit through a flight, the lifter who lost a movement, the athlete chasing the next increment. Same word, different finish lines.

Most clients notice significant improvement within the first three sessions. After the first, you’ll have a clear picture of what’s happening and how we’ll sequence you back.

For now, mobile and virtual. We come to your home, gym, or office within the Twin Cities and surrounding suburbs. If you want to know if we’ll come to where you are, contact us and we’ll figure it out. Virtual sessions are available for clients outside the area or for follow-up work that doesn’t require hands-on assessment.

A physical location for Elsewhere is opening in Minneapolis soon.

No. Minnesota has direct access — you can see a physical therapist for a new issue for up to 90 days without a referral.

Referrals only matter for insurance reimbursement, and only for certain plans. Our Insurance Reimbursement Guide includes the exact questions to ask your plan before you start. We do not bill insurance and we do not work with Medicare or Medicaid.
